Health Briefs TV Show Announces New Senior Health Special, Jan 2013

The Health Briefs TV show has announced a special which is geared toward America's senior population, caretakers and medical professionals. As the population ages and continues to live longer and healthier lives, the choices they have are growing by leap and bounds. The show explores how to shop for and cook nutritious meals on a budget, senior exercise programs, how to handle medical claims, and getting the most from health insurance coverage, and other hot topics. The compelling senior health special will air in January, 2013.

Today's senior population is large and growing every day. According to the Federal Interagency Forum on Aging-Related Statistics, in 2010, there were 40 million people age 65 and over living in the United States. The older population in 2030 is projected to be twice as large as their equals in 2000, growing from 35 million to 72 million. This naturally puts a strain on families, medical professionals, policy Makers and other providers. Cities and towns will continually search to find ways to keep the Baby Boomer generation active and healthy. Today, there are many low-cost senior exercise classes, health fairs and activities available through government programs and senior centers, some of which are held in Community centers. The Health Briefs television program explores the challenges and triumphs in working with and providing for America's golden generation as it examines the obstacle in aging such as loss of hearing, arthritis, memory loss, and many more.

Hosted by NFL star Terry Bradshaw, the show brings riveting health and medical information to the viewer. He is the former Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame quarterback who led the team to four Super Bowl victories. Bradshaw is also an author and co-host of a nationally television football pregame show.
