According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy-winning sitcom star Brad Garrett is set to open a brand new comedy club in Las Vegas' MGM Grand hotel as part of the hotel's $160 million renovation plan. The club will be opening its doors on March 30th.

Garrett, a three time Emmy winner, formerly owned a club at Vegas' Tropicana Hotel, but shut it down this past December. His new venture will include a 288 seat theater and will be located amidst MGM's 'Star Lane Shops' shopping area. Garrett will be featured in the club's opening night act along with fellow comedians Ralph Harris, Michael Somerville and Geechy Guy.

In a statement, Garrett commented, “When I had the opportunity to build the ultimate comedy club at MGM Grand, I wanted a venue that captured the ambiance and style of the 1940s in New York. Those were times when renovated warehouses were turned into speakeasies and small theaters, creating an intimate atmosphere with great entertainment.”

The actor is best known for his role as Robert Romano in the long-running CBS sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. He also starred in the series ’Til Death'. He began his career as a stand up comic in Los Angeles in 1984. Garrett will next be seen in the big screen comedy 'Burt Wonderstone' along with cast members Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Steve Buscemi.
