Colman Domingo Joins Cast of AMC's FEAR THE WALKING DEAD in Recurring Role

Deadline reports that Broadway vet Colman Domingo has signed on for a recurring role on AMC's upcoming THE WALKING DEAD companion series, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD.

The 'Scottsboro Boys' star will portray 'Strand', described as a "smart and sophisticated man with a mysterious past." He joins previously announced cast members Mercedes Mason, Ruben Blades, Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.

Set in Los Angeles the 'Walking Dead' spin off will feature all-new characters and storylines.

Domingo is currently shooting The Birth of a Nation, alongside Armie Hammer. Recent films iclude Selma, Lee Daniel's The Butler and Lincoln. TV credits include a recurring role on The Knick.

The actor last appeared on Broadway in 2010's The Scottsboro Boys, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. His other Broadway credits include Passing Strange, Well and Chicago.
