Deadline reports that Carrie Underwood's hit song 'Two Black Cadillacs' will be developed into a six-hour limited event series for FOX from producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The country singer will serve as executive producer of the project, currently in development.

Ildy Modrovich will pen the script which will "explore a murderous love triangle in the modern South."

Underwood wrote the platinum single along with Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear. It was included on the sing'er's 2012 album 'Blown Away.'

The AMERICAN IDOL singer appeared in 2013's live broadcast of NBC's Sound of Music in the iconic role of governess Maria Von Trapp. The show went on to set record ratings for the network and inspired the upcoming live broadcast of 'Peter Pan' set to air in December.
