CBS Daytime Emmy Award-winning game shows THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET'S MAKE A DEAL kick off their exciting new seasons Monday, Sept. 19 (check local listings), on the CBS Television Network. THE PRICE IS RIGHT, network television's #1-rated daytime program and the longest-running game show in television history, celebrates its milestone 45th season, and Drew Carey begins his 10th season as host of the show. LET'S MAKE A DEAL, hosted by Wayne Brady, premieres its mega-sized eighth season with the return of its popular "Mega Deal Week," offering $1.1 million in cash and prizes.
Throughout premiere week, Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT celebrates 45 seasons by highlighting memorable moments from its rich history. Each day's episode will feature clips of classic scenes, unforgettable games, record wins and the biggest bloopers. Also, Drew Carey begins hosting his 10th season, after taking over for Bob Barker in the fall of 2007. On Friday, Sept. 23, THE PRICE IS RIGHT will debut its new game, "Hot Seat," in which a contestant sitting in the "hot seat" is shown a series of fake prices for five small items and must guess whether the actual prices are higher or lower in an effort to win up to $20,000. LET'S MAKE A DEAL kicks off its eighth season with the return of "Mega Deal Week," which offers Traders who win the day's signature Big Deal an opportunity to mega-size their winnings and walk away with every merchandise prize featured that day. Throughout premiere week, Traders compete for a total of $1.1 million in cash and prizes. The excitement continues when LET'S MAKE A DEAL reaches its 1,400th episode later this season and surpasses the $50-million mark in prize giveaways since the show's premiere in 2009 on the Network.Videos
