CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers on the first Sunday after Election Day 2016, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 13. FACE THE NATION had its largest viewer audience since Feb. 14, 2016, delivering 4.32 million viewers and 0.9/04 in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. FACE THE NATION posted double-digit year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (up +26%, from 3.43m) and adults 24-54 (up +29%, from 0.7/04). Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.78 million viewers (up +9%, from 3.46m) and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54 (up +14%, from 0.7/03). The Nov. 13 broadcast opened with an excerpt from President-elect Donald Trump's interview with Lesley Stahl for CBS News' 60 MINUTES. Next Dickerson sat down with former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Trump adviser Newt Gingrich, followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The political roundtable featured Slate and CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie; Wall Street Journal and CBS News contributor Peggy Noonan; The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg; and The Washington Post's Michael Gerson. Dickerson then sat down with the seven CBS News 2016 campaign embeds - Sopan Deb, Hannah Fraser-Chanpong, Erica Brown, Jackie Alemany, Kylie Atwood, Sean Gallitz and Alan He - to hear their stories from the trail.
