60 MINUTES made Nielsen's Top 10 List again, this time for the second consecutive week. It was also the fourth time in six weeks that the broadcast finished among America's 10 most-watched programs. 60 MINUTES drew 11.87 million viewers to land at #8 for the week.

The CBS News magazine also made the list in households, landing at #6 (7.7/12), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012.

Sunday's broadcast featured Byron Pitts' story about false confessions, Lesley Stahl's report from Madagascar on endangered tortoises and Scott Pelley's profile of Australian actor Hugh Jackman.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES, America's #1 news program.
