CBS EVENING NEWS Posts Largest Year-to-Year % Gain in Adults 25-54

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the largest year-to-year percentage gain in adults 25-54 (+7%, 1.6/06 from 1.5/06) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - among the network evening news broadcasts, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 14.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY also posted the largest gain in viewers (+4%, 7.48m from 7.21m) among the network evening news broadcasts and maintained its rating in adults 25-54 (1.5/06) compared to last season.

On last week's broadcasts, Scott Pelley anchored live from Washington, D.C., for President Obama's final STATE OF THE UNION address, with a team of correspondents contributing to the coverage; Nancy Cordes and Major Garrett were on the presidential campaign trail; Manuel Bojorquez reported on the capture of El Chapo; David Martin covered Iran's release of detained U.S. service members; Adriana Diaz had the latest on the Flint water crisis; and CHARLIE ROSE previewed his 60 MINUTES interview with Sean Penn.
