Pepsi has confirmed to "Entertainment Tonight" that Beyonce will join Coldplay for next month's spectacular halftime show at SUPER BOWL 50. ET reported last night that the singer will share the spotlight with the British rockers for a performance of their hit single "Hymn for the Weekend," which features her vocals.

In 2013, Beyonce was the headlining performer during the halftime show in New Orleans, which featured a reunion with members of Destiny's Child. The performance was perhaps best remembered for causing half the lights in the Superdome to go out.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has previously commented that the appearance at SUPERBOWL 50 will be "the greatest moment" in his career and that the band was "excited and honoured and thrilled" to have the coveted performance spot. "We are going to give it everything we have," he said in a video to promote the announcement.
