Legendary talk show host David Letterman will be featured on "Oprah's Next Chapter" in a rare interview airing Sunday, January 6 from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Immediately following, the OWN original special "My Life is a Joke" following the lives of five up-and-coming comediennes airs from 10-11 p.m. ET/PT.

On "Oprah's Next Chapter," Oprah Winfrey sits down with Letterman at his alma mater, Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. No question is off-limits as Letterman candidly speaks about the public sex scandal that rocked his marriage, his personal relationshipswith "Tonight Show" hosts Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, how he repaired his marriage, his battle with depression and for the first time, Winfrey reveals to Letterman the true reason behind their much-publicized "feud."

Immediately following the Letterman interview is the OWN original special "My Life is a Joke," the journey of five aspiring female comics as they try to work their way to the top of the comedy world in Chicago, the breeding ground for some of the most iconic stand-ups, sketch and improvisation comics. The series takes an unfiltered look at the next generation of rising stars as they pursue their dreams in The Windy City from the Comedy Club stage to juggling their day-jobs and home life. Featuring comediennes Kellye Howard, Jessica Joy, Patti Vazquez, Lisa Laureta and Natalie Jose, they each discover how far they will go and how much theywill sacrifice to achieve their dreams. The special is produced by Open Water Studios, LLC, executive produced by Page Hurwitz.
