The Bones of J.R. Jones Share New Single ft. Nicole Atkins + National Tour

Known for his moody blend of garage-influenced soul, blues, roots, and Americana, The Bones of J.R. Jones is the solo project of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jonathon Linaberry. Hailing from Upstate New York, he announces his third studio album,Ones To Keep Close, set for release on May 11th. Produced with Rob Niederpruem in Brooklyn, NY, Ones To Keep Close is a crisp, eleven-track collection of stomp-along songs that evoke a vivid spectrum of emotion.

Today, he shares the lead single "Burden" featuring soul-psych luminary Nicole Atkins. Premiered with Baeble, "Burden" is a quick-footed tune about the emotional isolation that comes with touring as a one-man band. "This song is something special to me, as it's the first true duet I've written," Linaberry comments. "It came out of a place where people search for someone to share the weight of the world."

We last heard from The Bones of J.R. Jones in 2016 upon the release of the critically acclaimed album Spirit's Furnace. Tracks like "The Heat" and "Bless Your Soul" found Linaberry expanding the scope of his musical vision while stripping away the excess. OnOnes To Keep Close, Linaberry emerges with his most ambitious work to date - pushing his artistic boundaries while still remaining true to his roots.

In preparation of the upcoming album, The Bones of J.R. Jones will kick off a 25-date national tour this week, hitting cities such as Charlotte, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, and New York. See below for a full date listing + tickets are available for purchase now!
