A time honored tradition returns to Boston for St. Patrick's Day as the internationally acclaimed Irish Band The Chieftains bring their definitive style and traditional Irish music to The Boston Symphony Hall on March 31.

Six time Grammy winners, The Chieftains are recognized for bringing traditional Irish music to the world's attention. Although their early following was purely a folk audience, the range and variation of their music quickly captured a much broader audience making them arguably the best known Irish Band in the world today. They were the first group to perform on the Great Wall of China and the first group to ever give a concert in the capitol building in Washington DC. 2012 marks the band's 50th anniversary. This tour supports their recent release of "Voice of Ages" and the show's special guests include: Triona Marshall, harp; Alyth McCormack, vocals; Jeff White, guitar, vocals; Deanie Richardson, fiddle; Jon Pilatzke, fiddle, dancer; Nathan Pilatzke, dancer; and Cara Butler, dancer.
