Iceland Airwaves 2018 adds Natalie Prass, Stella Donnelly, Nadine Shah, & More to Lineup

After recently announcing Fever Ray, Blood Orange and The Voidz, Iceland Airwaves is proud to reveal its third round of acts for 2018. More than 50 acts from 15 countries join what's already a massive lineup for the festival's 20th Anniversary edition.

Taking place November 7-10, Iceland Airwaves welcomes acclaimed American performer Natalie Prass, British maverick Nadine Shah and a slew of acts buzzy acts post-Brighton's The Great Escape, including Australian singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly, North London rapper Jimothy Lacoste, and Belgian/Egyptian artist Tamino.

As part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations and before heading on his North American tour, Ólafur Arnalds will present two special previews of his three-piano show at Þjóðleikhúsið, the National Theatre of Iceland. Högni, who packed out shows all throughout last year's festival, will be presenting his most ambitious show to date, also at the National Theatre, replete with choir and string section. Other local talent includes more homegrown rap from Sturla Atlas, Emmsjé Gauti and a return from magical artist Sóley. Ateria, this year's finalists of Músíktilraunir, Iceland's famous Battle of The Bands, appear alongside finalists Ljósfari and Mórókóar.

A broad spectrum of Nordic acts, including Norway's Tuvaband, Fieh and Philip Emilio, Denmark's Off Bloom and Greenland's Nanook sit alongside Danny and The Veetos from the Faroe Islands. The much loved Faroese songbird, Eivør, returns to Iceland Airwaves for a very special performance.

As part of the Keychange initiative, Iceland Airwaves also welcomes musical innovators Kat Frankie, Mari Kalkun, Mueverloreina, Tawiah and Vaz to the line-up.

Over the past few years, a small but perfectly formed series of industry panels has been taking place during the day, and this year will be no exception. In collaboration with Iceland Music / ÚTÓN, Iceland Airwaves will host a Meet the Music Supervisors event, networking parties, a program of music talks and a specially set-up delegates lounge. Iceland Airwaves is an invaluable opportunity to connect with musicians, agents, journalists, promoters and managers from around the world, building new relationships whilst celebrating some of the music world's latest discoveries.
