Honky Tonk Revivalist Bubba T. New Single TEXTING TEXAS Available March 12

Honky Tonk revivalist Bubba T.'s latest single, "Texting Texas," opens with the twangin' Texas guitar sound and sing-along chorus that have become his trademarks. Soulful piano and fine fiddle work add to a haunting Hank, Jr. feel, and the mid-tempo song's lyric addresses one of modern man's most timely and important topics: texting. "Let's face it,"Bubba says. "Our smartphones rule our lives these days. I mean, I've seen folks hangin' onto those things like they're oxygen tanks or something. It's crazy. When I heard this song, I knew I had to cut it. Romantically, it could be the story of my life - and my many girlfriends and wives."

"Texting Texas" is a lighthearted romp; a self-deprecatory, half-spoken ode that takes a gravel-voiced, tongue-in-cheek look at one smartphone-clenching, text-obsessed, lovelorn man. The ever-irreverent Bubba T. wants everyone to kick back, put down the phone and pick up a brew ... while listening to his new song. "Just grab onto something besides your 'device' for a while," Bubba advises. "Get outside, go fishing, play some pool. Hell, go golfing. Enjoy life! I can tell you from experience that there's no comparison for one-on-one, in-person communication," Bubba says. "There just ain't no substitute for the real thing."

Bubba T.'s alter-ego, Edward Bates Tomlinson II, ESQ, BBA, JD, is billed as the "oldest new artist in Texas." While he set aside a music career in his younger days to become a lawyer, real estate tycoon, bank executive, community supporter and serial husband, Bubba is back at it and chasing that dream once again. He is hard at work on his first CD,BUCKET LIST, for Amerimonte Records, and "Texting Texas" is the second single from that upcoming project. The new single follows the well-received "Drink All Day" featuring Brandon Kinney and the recent seasonal release (withTexas star Natalie Rose), of a rockin' version of "Frosty The Snowman."
