Conchillia to Launch New Single 'Hunter or a Gatherer' with Jungle Celebration, Dec 4

Conchillia are gearing up to end their busy year with a Jungle Celebration to launch their new pulsing single 'Hunter or a Gatherer' at Jive on Friday 4th December 2016. They welcome Paige Renee Court and Banjo Jackson with his band as special guests for the evening's celebrations.

Following launching their debut EP late in 2014, Conchillia have been back in the studio recording their second EP and are keen to release their single 'Hunter or a Gatherer' ahead of their EP launch next year. This year has seen Conchillia performing at the Fringe Festival(SA), Peak Festival (NSW), Leaps & Bounds Music Festival(VIC), Semaphore Music Festival (SA) and Eumundi Acoustic Festival (QLD), with the Vegan Festival(SA) and Australia Music Week Festival (SYD) still to play before the single launch.

They've embraced a few east coast tours over the year and have just recently returned from a successful Queensland tour. In July, Conchillia's song 'Witchdoctor' enjoyed 3 weeks in the Top 10 on the AMRAP regional charts.

Drawing from a whole world of inspiration, Conchillia creates a new sound, pulsing with vibrancy and vitality. Take a pinch of French cabaret and dress it in bright pop melodies, add the bittersweet mournful cry of a saxophone beside the sunny smile of ukulele and vocal harmonies, underpin it with a samba beat, then a shuffle, then a proud march. It's unpredictable, delightful - a unique blend that comes from the sound of travelling, the influx of different cultures, rhythms, people and sounds. Shimmering with creativity and luscious, tuneful appeal, Conchillia presents something new for those old ears of yours.
