Toronto-based pop artist CLARA VENICE will release her debut EP Love Riddle with a party on October 3 at Adelaide Hall in Toronto. Love Riddle is co-produced by Kevin Hearn (Barenaked Ladies, Rheostatics, Lou Reed) and mixed by Dave Ogilvie (Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Carly Rae Jepsen).

CLARA VENICE plays an array of instruments including Theremin, electric violin, guitar, ukulele and glockenspiel creating an electronic orchestra, in which she composes each part herself for use in studio and on stage.

CLARA VENICE wears her art on her sleeve. Her mesmerizing visual style transforms from 21st century pop princess to Tokyo street style to new romantic realness, from song to song, as she draws listeners into her playful and melodic dream world. She is one of the only people in the world that plays the Theremin as a proper instrument, which adds an emotional and haunting diversity to her music.

CLARA VENICE has touched numerous art scenes from music and film to fashion and visual art. Renowned painter Gershon Iskowitz was her godfather, Canadian designer Evan Biddell has called her his muse, Peter Lynch directed the video for her cover of Generator by Bad Religion, she has collaborated with Scarygirl creator Nathan Jurevicius and artist Ken Ogawa creates haunting yet playful animations to provide a magical setting for her live performances.
