Caramoor Presents Gabriel Kahane and The Linden String Quartet, 7/13

On July 13, the Linden String Quartet, the 2011-12 Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence, closes out its residency at Caramoor with a concert in the Spanish Courtyard at 8:00pm. 

Joining the quartet for the performance is singer-songwriter and musical polymath Gabriel Kahane. The program features the world premiere of Mr. Kahane’s Line Up! for string quartet (Volume XIII of Caramoor’s commissioning project: A String Quartet Library for the 21st Century) and the New York premiere of his composition Come on All You Ghosts for string quartet and voice, along with works by Corigliano – Snapshot: Circa 1909 and A Black November Turkey – and Beethoven’s late masterpiece, String Quartet in A Minor, Op.132.
