2018 Outlook Festival Announces New Artists Including Shy FX, Johnny Osborne, Soul Stereo & More

For over a decade Outlook Festival has been the world's leading bass music party; a mecca for artists, fans and audiophiles alike. As ever, the 2018 line-up brings together respected heritage names with fresh-faced acts changing the game, and Outlook have just dropped another 80+ acts on board across the four days and nights. Find Shy FX, Goldie, Johnny Osbourne & Soul Stereo (Fatta), Nadia Rose, High Focus Records, MJ Cole, Break, Zed Bias, Dub Phizix & Strategy and The Heatwave are just a few of the acts who'll be heading to Outlook's famed fortress home. Across the sun-drenched Outlook days and hazy nights between 6th - 10th September, attendees can expect to hear reggae, dubstep, bass, grime, DnB, garage, dub, soul and hip-hop soundtracking the Outlook experience. That heavy splash of new names make Outlook 2018 even stronger than years before, with a serious selection joining J Hus, Stefflon Don, Kojey Radical, Wiley, Mist, Madam X, Children of Zeus, AJ Tracey, David Rodigan, Channel One, Bonobo, Andy C and more. There's plenty to get hyped about - Original Nuttah Shy FX has been announced, along with long-term Outlook familia, the one and only Goldie; boss of Metalheadz and an artist who has been at the heart of the DnB scene since day dot. Reggae and dancehall lord Johnny Osbourne brings his trademark Jamaican jams, young gun MC Nadia Rose brings a spicy London flow, whilst UK hip hop legends High Focus bring a serious cast of label talent - Dirty Dike, Fliptrix, Jam Baxter, Coops, Ed Scissor, Dj Sammy B-Side, Molotov & Talos.


Garage gods MJ Cole, El - B, Zed Bias make a welcome return, expect bubblin' anthems from the two Outlook faves, then The Heatwave come with their dancehall and bashment dubplates set to provide outlandish party jams. Dub Phizix & Strategy rep for Manchester, along with the full LEVELZ squad, Chimpo and MC Chunky - expect another raucous takeover from the dream team. Outlook's grime crew grows as OG's Flowdan and Spooky join the stellar set already involved, think AJ Tracey, Killa P, YGG, and much more. For the DnB fans - there's plenty more high tempo, hi-energy sounds come from heavy hitters Break, Icicle, SpectraSoul, Skeptical, Total Science, Villem & McLeod and Lowqui. Narratives label owners Blocks and Escher make their Outlook debut for this 2018 edition.

Slowing things down to a dubbier pace, are the O.B.F. Hailing from France, the crew have been inspired by artists from Jamaica and the UK - this year they join with Shanti N*E*R*D & Sr Wilson on board to support. Also bringing reggae fusions to Outlook are Iseo & DodoSound, the Spanish duo creating new school reggae. For the dub and reggae crews, Outlook ticks all boxes; from the deep 5am dub sets to good reggae vibrations on the beach during the sunny days.

Catering for Outlook's top spec soundystems, there'll be plenty of bass to find across the four Outlook days. Dark, deep explorations come from Tectonic Records bossman Pinch plus lo-fi, DIY feeling dub creations from Bristol duo Dubkasm. Dubstep heads, take notice, Deep Medi's Compa and Chestplate'sDistance are also ready. Exploring the boundaries of bass and related genres, there's plenty of heavy selectors on board to carry you through, Barely Legal, Radar Radio's Martha, Tash LC and more. And of course, where would Outlook be without it's MC's? Each year there's a strong contingent heading to Croatia, with Sgt Pokes, Chunky, MC Tempza, Lowqui, MC GQ and SP:MC. Plus, there's so much more to check - find new school jazz names Nubya Garcia and Poppy Ajudha, and many more joining the dots between Outlook's core genres.

At the heart of bass culture for over ten years, Outlook Festival is fully an essential event for any bass follower, paying homage to the roots of soundsystem culture whilst giving next generation artists a platform to thrive. Already announced for 2018 are J Hus, Stefflon Don, Kojey Radical, Wiley, Mist, Madam X, Children of Zeus, AJ Tracey, David Rodigan, Channel One, Bonobo, Andy C, Noisia and Digital Mystikz - all set for the annual pilgrimage to Fort Punta Christo. Expect plenty more in the form of boat parties, stage takeovers and beach parties - there's Radar Radio set for a rowdy takeover, plus DnB Arena and more on board.

Outlook Festival finds its home in one of the most stunning settings in Croatia. One for the music fans, Outlook blurs festival boundaries as visitors jump from chilling on the beach by day, to dancing deep into the early hours.
