Deadline reports that Owen Wilson has signed on to join the cast of a new action comedy from Relativity. The actor will join Jim Carrey in the project to be helmed by Jared Hess.

The comedy will be based on Emily Spivey's original screenplay by Emily Spivey, with a script penned by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer. The film will be produced by Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn through their Michaels-Goldwyn banner.

The currently untitled film will tell the story "a disgruntled armored car driver who is persuaded to risk it all for love, money, and extravagance. He and his cohorts liberate $20 million from a bank vault. They promptly double cross him, and as the driver's left alone on the run in Mexico while they live the high life, he becomes obsessed with getting even."

Wilson can currently be seen on the big screen in The Internship alongside his Wedding Crashers co-star Vince Vaughn.
