According to Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, sci-fi adventure "The Maze Runner" is sprinting past all other releases as the #1 movie that fans most want to see this weekend. "The Maze Runner" represents more than 50% of Fandango's weekend ticket sales, followed by Jason Bateman's dysfunctional family comedy, "This is Where I Leave You" and Liam Neeson's suspense-thriller, "A Walk Among the Tombstones."

According to an online survey of more than 1,000 "Maze Runner" ticket-buyers on Fandango:
*86% plan to see it with a group of friends;
*75% consider themselves fans of young adult dystopian books and movies;
*69% are familiar with the book by James Dashner;
*68% cannot wait to see the book's maze realized on the big screen;
*56% claim that Dylan O'Brien (TV's "Teen Wolf"), cast as the film's lead, increased their interest in the movie.

"The Fall season takes off at full speed with 'The Maze Runner' this weekend,'" says Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger. "This intense drama will appeal to the same crowd that enjoyed 'Hunger Games' and 'Divergent,' while 'This is Where I Leave You' will engage adult moviegoers in the mood for an all-star dramedy."

As part of Fandango's video-based "Hollywood Scoops," "Walk Among the Tombstones" star Liam Neeson teaches Fandango correspondent Dan Perrault "how to be a badass on the phone," coaching him on the proper inflections needed to intimidate the guy who stole his girlfriend. Watch here

About Fandango's Fanticipation
Known for having its finger on the pulse of moviegoers, Fandango's movie buzz indicator, Fanticipation, provides statistical insight into the movies fans are planning to see in a given weekend. Fanticipation scores (based on a 1 to 100-point scale) are calculated via an algorithm of Fandango's advance ticket sales, website and mobile traffic, and social media engagement. Fanticipation is not intended as a forecast of the weekend box office; it is a snapshot of movie fan sentiment.
