Jena Malone to Lead American Remake of LE BEAU MARIAGE

According to Deadline, Jena Malone has just signed on to lead the upcoming American remake of LE BEAU MARIAGE, currently titled CLAIRE.

The film, to be directed by Dori Oskowitz, "follows an eccentric young woman in her twenties living in Long Island with her aunt and Teenage cousin. Fed Up with her married painter lover, Claire sets her sights on a man she barely knows with aims to get herself married."

Jena Malone has been acting for over 19 years in independent and blockbuster films. Malone made her movie debut with the film Bastard Out of Carolina (1996), and has appeared in films including Contact (1997), Stepmom (1998), Donnie Darko (2001), Saved! (2004), Into the Wild (2007), and Sucker Punch (2011). In 2006, she made her professional stage debut in the Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning play Doubt. Most recently seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and soon to be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson's film Inherent Vice. She has been making music for eight years and has self-released two albums as Jena Malone and her Bloodstains.
