Jamie Foxx & Michelle Monaghan to Lead Thriller SLEEPLESS NIGHT

According to Deadline, Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan have signed to to star in Vertigo's upcoming remake of the 2011 French film NUIT BLANCHE, titled SLEEPLESS NIGHT. Open Road is financing.

The film, written by Andrea Berloff, is described as: "When gangsters kidnap his son as ransom for a shipment of cocaine he stole, Downs races to save his son's life without getting caught by Internal Affairs and before the mobsters discover that he's actually lost the goods. Monaghan plays an Internal Affairs agent investigating him who ultimately has to decide which side of the law he's on."

Foxx's recent projects include HORRIBLE BOSSES 2, the ANNIE remake, and MEAN BUSINESS ON NORTH GANSON STREET. He recently starred in A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and DJANGO UNCHAINED.

Monaghan is coming off of HBO's hit series TRUE DETECTIVE. Her other credits include SOURCE CODE, EAGLE EYE, and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.
