Breaking Glass Pictures is releasing the gay mystery-thriller The Dark Place on DVD/VOD today, December 10, 2014. Written and directed by Jody Wheeler, The Dark Place follows a flawed hero with an incredible gift, a witty and sexy sidekick, and a deadly mystery. The Dark Place stars Blaise Embry, Timo Descamps, and Sean Paul Lockhart (adult film star Brent Corrigan).

Long estranged from his widowed mother, Keegan Dark (Embry) is blessed with the uncanny ability to remember this life in videographic detail. Returning home with his boyfriend to make amends with his mother, he's shocked to discover she remarried. His family now includes a step-father and step-brother - and Keegan quickly surmises they are up to no good.

His investigation into their past is derailed when his mother drops into a coma, his boyfriend seemingly leaves him and the town's sheriff targets him as the most likely culprit. With allies scarce and time running out, Keegan must fight - and use his remarkable mind -- to unravel the secrets that threaten to destroy him.

The Backlot called the film "Refreshing... a real thriller with a beautiful setting, gorgeous actors with complicated relationships."
