Ferndale, MI -- For the sixth time, Go Comedy! is joining with the Ferndale Library to present an original improvised show based on its annual book selection. This year's show is See No Evil based on the book Bird Box by Josh Malerman, a spellbinding thriller in the style of Stephen King. Go Comedy! will also present the original comedy from the Go U! Improv Academy, Suburban Legends, Wednesdays now through March 25.

Tickets for all Go Comedy! shows ($5-$18) are available now online at www.gocomedy.net and beginning at 6:00pm Wednesday - Sunday in person at the Go Comedy! box office.

The variety of shows coming to the Go Comedy! stage this month include:

See No Evil
See No Evil is an original Go Comedy! show in support of Ferndale Reads, presented in partnership with the Ferndale Public Library. An improvised interpretation of Bird Box by Josh Malerman, See No Evil is a dark comedy that follows the daily struggles of a group of friends surviving in a post-apocalyptic Michigan. Featuring: Jenny Bloomer, Rj Cach, Alison Duffy, Lorin Kozlowski, & Tom Novik, this original improvised show is directed by Jessica Loria. See No Evil appears Wednesday nights at 8:00pm through March 25. Tickets are $10 or $5 at the box office with a Library Card from any SE Michigan LIbrary.

Suburban Legends
A hilarious sketch comedy revue, Suburban Legends is the latest original comedy from Go U! Improv Academy's Writing Program. This show appears Wednesdays at 9:00pm through March 25. Tickets are $10.

The Dragon Army
The Dragon Army is Go Comedy!'s brightest up and coming improvisors put through a gauntlet of short form improv games - some are Go Comedy! classics, others brand new from Go Laboratories. Join them as they battle through improv scenes and games to become the almighty Dragon Slayer and face the ultimate test in short form improv.

Fuzzballs
Taking inspiration from Jim Henson's Muppet Show and His Son, Brian Henson's stage show Puppet Up, Go Comedy! is bringing the felt to the stage with Fuzzballs Comedy with Puppets. Through improv and vignettes the cast brings the puppet show from the back of the couch to the gleam of the stage. And lets be honest who doesn't like it when puppets say dirty things. Fuzzballs Comedy with Puppets is directed by Tommy LeRoy and features the talents of Peter Jacokes, Doug Kolbicz, Michelle LeRoy, Tommy LeRoy, Jeff Mansk, Cari Murphy and Dez Walker. Tickets are $10-$18.

Itty Bits Tournament
Go Comedy! is proud to present the 2nd annual ITTY BITS tournament. Based on the theater's popular BITS Tournament, ITTY BITS features 16 teams of three improvisers competing in a short-form improv tournament. Each week two teams face off in a competition similar to the theatre's long-running All Star Showdown, the audience votes on their favorite team which moves on in the competition. The competition begins Wednesday, January 14 at 8:00pm and continues every Thursday through April 22. At the end of the tournament, the last standing team wins a $500 grand prize. Tickets are $10

Matt Naas Variety Show
Matt Naas hosts Go Comedy!'s variety show, The Matt Naas Variety Show featuring live music from the Variety All-Star Band, surprise guests and the best in local talent. Matt & his crew will bring a new experience to the stage each month.

Monthly Living Through Human Amusements
After presenting their Go Comedy! Original show Better Living Through Human Amusements, the improv troupe Human Amusements is back with an original monthly show, Monthly Living With Human Amusements. Each month the troupe presents an hour long original written sketch show, completely new from the month before. Human Amusements features Jen Hansen, Joe Hingelberg, Amber Hunt, Pete Jacokes, PJ Jacokes, Matt Naas, Travis Pelto, and Chris Petersen. The troupe's unique blend of character-driven long form, instructional-video riffing, and parade of weird wigs has been entertaining You might meet a friendly policeman, cable access psychics, "health" "professionals," or anything else they come up with. Expect to come away from each show a little wiser, and pleasantly confused.

Six Chamber Roulette
Some of Go Comedy!'s best improvisers take the stage to present as many different forms of improvised comedy as possible.

StandProv
StandProv is stand-up comedy without the prep. Each week four comics take the Go Comedy! stage to do five minutes of stand up on topics they have never seen until they are in front of a live audience.

A Couple After Ten
Go Comedy!'s Improv Duo showcase, A Couple After Ten features a different 2-person improv team every performance.

Six-years of original comedy
In the fall of 2008 the former Ferndale Secretary of State office was transformed into Go Comedy! Improv Theater - a catalyst for hundreds of original shows, a robust improv academy, and an incubator for innovation, inspiration and integrity. Today, Go Comedy! is home for hundreds of improvisers, at least 30 improv troupes, and a weekly schedule of hilarious award-winning programming that has garnered local and national recognition.

The theater's signature show continues to be The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown which has played on Friday and Saturday nights continually for six years. Featuring members of Go Comedy! resident company, The All Star Showdown puts two teams of improvisers in an improv competition tailored to challenge their abilities, think on their feet and give audiences a roaring good time. The cast also plays for audience members who take home fabulous prizes when their team wins. It's a night of hilarious laughs and great times! Tickets are $18.
