Phoenix, Ariz. -- MusicaNova Orchestra and Arizona Piano will showcase ten of Arizona's brightest musicians with its Young Artists Series for the 2014-15 Season. Selected by MusicaNova's Young Artists Coordinators Hong Zhu, Fei Xu, and Elizabeth McKinnon, the Series provides an opportunity for young talent to perform for live audiences in the recital hall of Arizona Piano.

The students range in age from just 9 years old to 17 years, and all attend schools in the East Valley including Chandler's Paragon Science Academy and Arizona Virtual Academy; Horizon Honors High School, Kyrene Altadeña Middle School, Desert Vista High School and BASIS in Ahwatukee; Queen Creek's Leadership Academy; Highland High School in Mesa and Sunrise Middle School in Scottsdale.

  • February 21, 2015:at 4:00 pm: Bobae Johnson, violin and Morgan Beckstead, piano
  • March 21, 2015:at 4:00 pm: Jessica Zhang, piano and Angelina Zhang, piano

MusicaNova Orchestra - The MusicaNova Orchestra is a professional ensemble whose concerts feature music played with the utmost virtuosity and unrivaled interpretation. Led by Music Director Warren Cohen, the Orchestra challenges itself with new works, neglected works that should be heard, new interpretations of the classics, and new collaborations with partners in instrumental and vocal music, as well as other arts and cultural fields.
