The Hershey Symphony Orchestra invites the community to celebrate the Fourth of July with the 10th annual free concert and fireworks on the lawn of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on Saturday evening, July 4th.

The orchestra's performance entitled, "An American Salute" begins at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks will follow at 10 p.m. Complimentary water and ice cream will be provided by Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Food and drink for purchase will be sold from various vendors.

"It is a holiday tradition for the community to celebrate Independence Day with our concert on the lawn of the Medical Center, it's a great event for everyone" said Hershey Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Paul Metzger.

The first half of the concert will feature a mixed selection of music including music from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Disney's Frozen and much more.

For the second half of the concert, the Orchestra will present "A Salute to America," accompanied by Hershey Symphony Orchestra vocalists. These selections will celebrate America and provide a special tribute to the military.

The concert is sponsored by Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey Lodge, Sutliff Chevrolet and Hershey Symphony Orchestra. Parking is free and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. A freewill offering will be taken to benefit the Orchestra.
