Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Presents Free Concert for Veteran's Day Tonight

October 22, 2015 - Chattanooga, TN - The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, in partnership with the City of Chattanooga, will present a free Veteran's Day concert tonight, November 11 at 7:00pm at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium. This is the 4th consecutive year that the CSO has presented this family-friendly concert for veterans, their families, and the public. Conducted by CSO Music Director Kayoko Dan, the CSO musicians are joined by the Lee University Singers, directed by Brad Moffett.

The program includes The Star-Spangled Banner, Calvin Custer's American Frontier, the Armed Forces Salute (in which each branch of the armed forces is recognized), John Williams' "Hymn to the Fallen" from Saving Private Ryan, plus acapella pieces performed by the Lee University Singers.

About Us

The mission of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera is to inspire, engage, and enrich the greater Chattanooga community through music and music education. The 2015/16 season marks 83 seasons for the CSO, which played its first concert on November 5, 1933. The CSO, conducted by Music Director Kayoko Dan, consists of top players from the Chattanooga area as well as from across the southern region. The CSO performs a full season of Masterworks, Pops, Chamber, and Volkswagen Series concerts from September through May, as well as a variety of community, education, and engagement events throughout the year.
