The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Talent Development Program, which supports the musical development of young African-American and Latino students, will hold its annual Spring Recitals on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center and Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Southwest Arts Center. Both performances are free and open to the public.

The free event will serve as a juried performance of every participant as well as a recruitment effort for the Talent Development Program. TDP was established in 1993 as one of the first intense training program established by a major American orchestra to support talented, young African-American and Latino students who desire to pursue careers as professional musicians. Many students completing the Talent Development Program attend leading conservatories, or college or university music departments, including: Oberlin Conservatory of Music, The Juilliard School, Cleveland Institute of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, and the Curtis Institute of Music, among others.
