One man wanders about China and Mongolia, chased by the combined units of the local police and the resolute North Korean secret police, after being blindly accused of disloyalty from the ruling Kim Empire and fearing for his own life. With his clever and rough escape, he has become an enemy of the regime. What will become of the life and family he has left behind? Will the threat of loss and pain be enough for him to remain in hiding as "The Fugitive" (published by Xlibris)?

Lee Gildo is from an elite family from Pyongyang, serving as a middle-level official of the government. However, his status-along with his unblemished records-will not be able to keep him from the immoral dictatorship of their ruling government. A whirlwind of events sets him in an epic adventure of death-defying run through borders, deeds of deception and surprising alliances. Lee is sure that this is an ominous warning for something more.

Published author Walter Jung's thriller fiction tale calls for the attention of the readers about the recent and enduring cases of violence and "deadly human rights situation [happening] to the political refugees in North Korea." This story is a close reflection of the grim truth, the author believes.

After eluding the state's tenacious chase for three years, the hero Lee finally concocts a bold scheme to rescue his wife and daughter that were sent to a notorious political prison as a counter revenge on his disappearance. With the help of noted characters, Lee and his family must survive this nightmare until their final voyage to their new home and country, South Korea.
