The Fun eReader eBook reading platform by Arbordale Publishing has received the Quality Excellence Design seal of approval in the 2014 Digital Book Awards and "Kali's Story: An Orphaned Polar Bear Rescue" won a Children's eBook award for non-fiction.
The QED certification is considered the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" for eBooks and enhanced eBooks. Digital Book World, the publishing industry authority on eBooks, developed the 13 point inspection that each eBook must pass to receive this seal. This seal signifies that the Fun eReader platform and eBook design is of a high quality and perfect for any type of device. The individual eBook "Kali's Story: An Orphaned Polar Bear Rescue," by Jennifer Keats Curtis and photography provided by John Gomes, was recognized with a bronze award for non-fiction in a new digital book awards program, Children's eBook Awards. This awards program recognizes excellence in eBooks for both content and design in many categories. This is the first year for the Children's eBook Awards which was started to celebrate the greatest accomplishments in the growing field of digital books. "Kali's Story" is one of the 107 titles offered by Arbordale Publishing on the Fun eReader platform.
