THE VICHY SHOWER is Released

Many creative thinkers describe journaling as a therapeutic, cathartic experience - and it was through this practice that author Kavita Kumar, MD, formed the basis for her new book, "The Vichy Shower: A Shower of Love and Light" (published by Balboa Press). In it, Kumar chronicles an intimate, personal journey of dispelling the darkness in her life and uncovering "the light of the expanded realm of love."

Coming from a medical background, Kumar explains that she previously viewed heart health as healing the heart as a physical organ. Her own healing journey has transformed her view on healing. She now views healing as healing the emotional heart and awakening the spiritual heart. "Our true healing occurs when we realize divine love in our own heart".

About the Author
Kavita Kumar, MD, was born and raised in Bangalore, India. When she was 15, she moved to the United States. Dramatic events in her life led her to pursue a career in medicine. She had been practicing as a heart doctor for nine years when personal circumstances guided her into the practice of meditation. She lives with her mother and two children in San Diego. Kumar enjoys the practices of meditation, yoga, tai chi and kung fu. She thoroughly enjoys tickling her children. She is slowly learning to sing from her heart and dance from her soul.
