About the Author
Elizabeth Aguilar was born in a small town in the Philippines. Gathering clams in the clear water of the nearby lake at sunrise made her develop a love for art and writing. She composed poems, wrote short stories and painted in watercolor when she was a child. Later in life, she pursued a career in accounting and business but her love of writing never left her. She met her mentor, who encouraged her to write a novel, during a writing workshop in 2000. "The Secret Box" is the result of these efforts and is her first published book.
