ST. MARYS, Ga.

Author Brian C. Mahon depicts interplanetary war and one planet's visceral fight to reclaim its land in the new, action-packed fantasy book, "The House of Torunthane: Liberation" (published by Archway Publishing).

Menver Torunthane is an egotistical, magic-wielding immortal who was kidnapped from Earth long ago and taken to his ancestral planet. He cares only for his nephew, Ajax, a devout warrior and Menver's only living relative.

The bonds of family are put to the ultimate test as Menver and Ajax are swept up in protecting the planet from invasion. Maneuvering through waves of alien invaders, predators and even the manipulations of their comrades, Menver will do whatever it takes to protect his nephew and free their planet from the invading army.

Mahon endeavors to prove two thematic convictions: Nothing is more important than family, and self-discovery is sometimes a product of being true to one's inner self.

"In the whole history of the House of Torunthane, this book and their adventures are just one part," Mahon says, "but their actions kick-start a whole new reckoning to the universe."
