Author Steven Berg is launching a new marketing campaign in the second half of 2015 for his book, "Errand Runner" (published by iUniverse). He hopes to expand his reach to a wider audience.

The year is 1972. The U.S. is deeply embroiled in the Vietnam War. Twenty-one-year-old Step Bronstad decides to enlist in the Marines to escape his criminal past, when two CIA agents confront him. They broker a deal with Step: In exchange for his freedom, Step must run covert operations and antiterrorist errands for the CIA.

Before he can blink, Step is whisked off to Germany and Turkey where he must remain under the radar and avoid exposing his position. In Germany, Step must stop a terrible massacre from happening, and in Turkey, a group of terrorists plot to overthrow the Shah of Iran. Only Step will be able to stop them.

A complex tale of international intrigue and suspense, "Errand Runner" takes readers across the globe as Step tries to stay one step ahead of his adversaries.

"My hope is that readers will come away with a greater appreciation for the perilous underground world of those who must battle the constant threats to our society and modern civilization," Berg says.
