Being married to a minister has never been the desire of author Sandra J. Atwater. So when her husband was called by God to serve the church in 1975, she was not prepared for the life that being a minister's wife would entail. The book offers a look into the often misconstrued life of a minister's family. Atwater sheds light into what it is like to bear the load of responsibilities and expectations placed upon her by society. Being a mother to her children, a wife to her husband and an anchor of the congregation require colossal efforts that are often veiled from the knowledge of many.

About the Author
Sandra J. Atwater originated from Evansville, Indiana, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Terry V. Atwater. She has two children and six grandchildren. She has been active in the works of the church since childhood, teaching Bible study classes, working with the youth of the church, as well as teaching the adult ladies Bible classes. She has given speeches and lectures at many ladies days and workshops, as well as spoken for civic organizations. Her husband, Terry V. Atwater has been the minister of North Shore Church of Christ in Waukegan, Illinois, since 1975.
