41 percent of all married individuals in the United States will engage in infidelity at some point during their marriage and roughly half of all marriages will end in divorce, statisticbrain.com. Reverend Carnell James cheated on his wife and God, however his relationship with both is still standing strong.

James knows what it is like to be tempted and to give into that temptation. He understands the emotions behind betraying loved ones with the hopes of attaining satisfaction. In James new book, "God, I Cheated on You," he explores the reasons behind cheating, the consequences it has on everyone involved and how to face reality and mend the relationships torn apart by infidelity.

"People believe once a cheater, always a cheater, but I wanted to share my story in order to help others hope and fight for their relationship," said James.

Being able to show humility and understand why he cheated has helped James get back to a good place in his marriage.

"We have all cheated on God before and have been forgiven for it," said James. "If you love God, you will love and respect your mate."
