In his new book, "Practice what you Preach, Preach what you Practice" (published by Balboa Press), author Ronald Barnes offers a breadth of insight into a number of world religions, covering everything from the basic tenants of faiths to exploring details such as symbolism.

"'Practice What You Preach, Preach What You Practice'" is a practical presentation on how religion interfaces with human behavior and how human behavior, practically, responds and internalizes religion," Barnes explains. "The book addresses what it means to be religious and causes humans to examine their own religious behavior."

The book also offers a historical outline of each religion, considering the context of the founding and proliferation of a particular faith.

Barnes hopes the book will encourage readers to be respectful of other faiths: "If you are religious or profess to be religious then act like it. Hatred, greed, racism, prejudice, disrespect of the rights of others is not religious."
