Author Norah Lang believes that people's perception of their situations directly impacts their psychological health. In her new book, "Could We Change The World?" (published by AuthorHouse), Lang expands on her belief and further teaches readers how they can cope with stress without developing psychological problems.

"The years of work with the patients and concerns about their needs has awakened my interest in psychology and psychotherapy," Lang says. "I believe that by changing the way we are thinking we can change the world and ourselves, improve our health, and increase well-being."

Presented as an aid for psychotherapists, physicians and psychologists as well as patients, "Could We Change The World?" aims to change the way mentally ill patients are treated in an effort to obtain better results from that treatment. Lang acknowledges that this is dependent on the patient's perception of the world and correct usage of the scientific method.

"I want people to be free from psychological pain and other obstacles which complicate their and society's functioning," Lang says. "People who are using incorrect thinking and beliefs can't be stopped until their thinking is corrected."
