BLAIR, Neb.

The new children's book from author Peggy L. Leehy, "A Sugary Tale of Mrs. Ant Hony" (published by WestBow Press), treats young readers to a tasty lesson in kindness and compassion.

In the Land of Milk and Honey, Mrs. Ant Hony is well known for both her delicious treats and her larger-than-life good deeds. In the kitchens of the palace, Mrs. Ant Hony makes all her treats with "a good measure, pressed down and shaken together" - the key to happiness.

Not everyone in the palace, however, understands kindness as Mrs. Ant Hony does. Two little brother and sister lambs have never done acts of kindness toward others, and Mrs. Ant Hony prays they will learn more about kindness if they get to make sweet treats with a cook and a baker. Will they ever learn how to make sweet treats?

Whimsical and vividly illustrated, "A Sugary Tale of Mrs. Ant Hony" shares a sweet lesson in helping others and illustrates the rippling effect one act of kindness can have.

"As a nurse and educator," Leehy says, "I have a soft spot in my heart to be kind and selfless when it came to caring for others. I would like young readers to remember the importance of doing nice things for others."
