DENVER, Colo.

Uncovering the extraordinary spectacles of the seemingly simple Colorado life, author Don Morreale pens a fascinating collection of stories that tell phenomenal tales of transformation from ordinary Colorado folks. In "Cowboys, Yogis, and One-Legged Ski Bums," (published by Xlibris) Morreale reveals 170 central characters, each with unique lives that, at some point, traversed the crucial path of change to explore the wonder of an uncertain, yet gratifying journey to renewal.

"Cowboys, Yogis, and One-Legged Ski Bums" is a collection of short biographical sketches of Colorado people. In this nonfiction, the author bares a diverse compilation of strong willed characters, intense risk-takers and real-life heroes who wear the simplicity of an ordinary Coloradan. All accounts tell of catalytic turning points in each of the character's lives that precipitate change of direction and offer a new way of looking at things. By exposing these stories, the author commends readers to look at diversity in a new light and inspire change into their own lives.

"There's a natural curiosity among humans to know about their fellow creatures - what they believe, what makes them tick, how they're getting on life - which is probably why everyone seems so fascinated by the lives of celebrities these days. But celebs are not the only ones with interesting lives. Ordinary folks also have stories to tell, often surprising stories as it happens," Morreale says. "I want my readers to know that change is possible, and that personal transformation is a viable option. I want these stories to inspire them to be the best they can be."

Each told in brief, meant for a quick but powerful read, "Cowboys, Yogis, and One-Legged Ski Bums" teems with rich values and motivational life-changing lessons. As compelling as it is intriguing, the book exalts and pays tribute to the brave spirits who continue to enliven an indeed, colorful Colorado living.
