Michael Tyler, an academician with the Prince George's County Public School System of Maryland with an extensive educational background, has completed his new book "Catharsis: The Unleashing of the Unconscious Conflicts of Michael Anthony": a gripping work that attempts to capture some of Tyler's thoughts and experiences during the early years of his life, while growing up in an environment full of racial and geopolitical fear.

On growing up in Virginia in the 1950's and 1960's, Tyler states, "Black people were afraid of and hated white people, white people feared and hated black people, and everyone was afraid that the USSR was going to blow up the world."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Michael Tyler's gripping tale is an exploration of his life during a time when everyone was tense and angry and trying to escape via God, the movies, vacationing, or drugs and alcohol. According to Tyler, the cheapest escape was the church and he was baptized in the Cedar Street Memorial Baptist Church at the young age of twelve.

"Catharsis: The Unleashing of the Unconscious Conflicts of Michael Anthony" is a story about a young black man trying to find an escape from life in the United States of America during racially tense times and finding himself, love, and purpose in the wonderland of his mind. Michael Anthony, the main character, evolves from a most naïve young man into a man of the world. Along the way, he travels to many places of wonder, meeting many people of color and temperament, and learning a lot about himself, life, living, and love.

Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase "Catharsis: The Unleashing of the Unconscious Conflicts of Michael Anthony" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
