Seven-year-old Lauren has a lot of shoes and adores every pair. Unbenknowst to Lauren, her shoes all come to life when she's at school and go on grand adventures. Unfortunately for Bessie Boot and her shoe cohorts, they realize one of their shoe friends is missing just as they are preparing to embark on an adventure.

Marc Tracey invites readers to adventure with Bessie Boot and company in his new children's book, "Bessie Boot: Never Judge a Boot by Its Cover." (published by AuthorHouse).

Bessie Boot and her friends are prepared for another day of fun. But just as they are about to embark on their journey, they realize one of their friends is missing. Knowing they only have a few hours until Lauren comes home from school, the group must hurry to find their friend.

Throughout "Bessie Boot," readers watch as Bessie Boot and her friends meet various shoes of different genders and from different backgrounds. During their journey, they learn that no matter one's background, all people and things are created equal.
