NEW YORK - Becoming a mother not only gave Dachka Brown, M.S Ed. indescribable joy, it also opened her eyes to the importance of prayer. Motherhood was the start of a spiritual journey that reinforced her prayer life. She encourages others, especially fellow parents, to do the same in her new book titled "Mother's Prayer Sceptre: 21 Day Prayer, Fasting and Devotional Book" (published by Xlibris).

Like any mother, Brown would worry about her children and she wanted only the best for them. She soon realized that prayer was one of the most effective ways to protect and strengthen her family. In "Mother's Prayer Sceptre," she teaches readers, especially parents, how to equip themselves and their children with the power of prayer.

"This is a book where we come together to combat the forces of darkness in high places on behalf of our children," Brown says, "The focus is on praying for our children regardless of how old they are. It is also a devotional book for you to use on a daily basis."

"Mother's Prayer Sceptre" offers nourishment for the soul and spirit. The author recommends it to every 21st century Christian and parents who want their children to grow strong in their faith.
