In the new book "Mind Diversion" (published by AuthorHouse) from author James Green, Charlie Fieldstone struggles to prevail over a wrongful accusation of murder made by authorities whose knowledge of science and technology is not up to date with the rapid acceleration in the field.

Charlie Fieldstone is being accused of killing the wife of the doctor who treated him for cancer. Though Charlie explains that he has been implanted with a computer chip that gives him hallucinations and causes him a great deal of pain - and caused him to murder the doctor's wife - no one believes him because they can't see the chip in x-rays.

As Charlie struggles to prove that there is a computer chip in his brain, readers watch his desperate downward spiral to a path of no return.

"I was inspired by the feeling that science and technology are racing ahead, but human morality is barely moving, much less improving," Green says. "Today's society is immersed in the rapid changes in science and technology. We need a healthy wariness about what future scientific discoveries and technological breakthroughs will allow evil people to do."
