As a school principal, Lynn Wicker has personally been involved with some very dicey situations with boys at school, even in the elementary grades. "Boys at those young ages are often not even sure what some of the things they say to girls mean. Maybe they just watched a television show, movie or overheard an adult conversation and they decided to try out a new slang word. It happens all the time," says Lynn.

In a recent article Lynn wrote, she takes a look at the issue of sexual harassment among school aged boys which is continually raising concern. She advocates that fathers be proactive in teaching their boys appropriate behavior around girls and the definition of consent. What often starts as two kids curbing their curiosity often ends in drama and sometimes even legal action. Lynn was quoted saying, "Then, the next thing they want is for formal charges to be filed against him with law enforcement for sexually harassing their daughter" in response to situations of alleged sexual harassment. Lynn advocates that these sticky situations can be avoided by good parenting. Lynn's message about the importance of good parenting can be accessed through her upcoming book 'Raising Kids That Succeed'. "Raising Kids That Succeed" provides a new way to see one's self as a parent, by first seeing one's self as a person. It focuses on who the parent is, as an individual, before said parent ever fully arrives at the impact they hope to have on their children. Readers will learn how to stop looking for "fixes" for kids and come into an awareness of personal beliefs. As one's own life improves, the influence and impact on their children will immediately become apparent.
