A grandfather shares wisdom to help his granddaughter cope with divorce in "Letters From Woody Woodchuck" (published by AuthorHouse), the posthumously published new children's book by Charlie Costello "Old Grandpa."

Hoping to make his granddaughter happy after her parents' divorce, Costello created dozens of letters from Woody. The book's main character is Woody Woodchuck, who tells all the stories. Letters from Woody chronicle the life stories of an entire animal community, including weddings and tragedies, imparting subtle life lessons that can be applied to the reader's own life.

"These letters, which often arrived every day, provided me with a sense of hope and expectation," says Costello's granddaughter, Beth. "Stories that captivated me as a 4-year-old are now valuable life lessons. The adventures of Woody and his friends help me to cherish my childhood and keep the spirit of Grandpa close to my heart."
