DECATUR, Ill.

"If I had known better, I would have surely done better," said author Keith Halliburton. "A greater outcome would have taken place."

Born to a life of hardship and poverty, Halliburton's circumstances lead him to a series of life-changing decisions that eventually had him become a hustler. In "Consequences of the Game" (published by Xlibris), he tells a story that gives readers an insider's look into the kind of lifestyle that a hustler engages in. He shows readers every aspect of what it means to play "The Game," its ups and downs, and its harsh realities, raw and uncut.

In writing this novel, Halliburton wants people to understand just how easy it is to get caught up in situations that one was really looking for.

"Hustling is not all that it looks to be," said Halliburton. "Young men have to change their direction in life while they have a chance. I want people to take what is explained in my book and utilize that."

About the Author
Keith Halliburton, 36 years of age, was born in Kansas City, Mo. He found his interest in writing books during his incarceration solely because he felt that people need to know that people like him did not ask for the lifestyles that they have lived - how poverty has placed them in a stereotype of being monsters when they are only humans trying to find a way. Aside from "Consequences of the Game," Haliburn also wrote "Li'l Mama."
