Hinsdale, Ill.

In "Giving Up the Ghost" (published by Xlibris), author Karen Schultz explores the connection between the spiritual world (heaven) and the physical world (earth). As a licensed clinical social worker, spiritual healer and author who had experiences as a grief counselor that are mystical and spiritual in nature, Schultz enlightens readers and communicates to each and every soul out there.

This book allows readers to ponder and learn more about the mystery of death through true stories taken from real people. It opens up a dialog about grief and the truth about life after death communication, helping them demystify death, offer comfort and reduce the fear of the unknown. People can learn to let go of their suffering and restore their lives if only they know how. It is the author's hope that these stories of love and survival inspire those who have recently lost a loved one.

"This is a slice of life not many people see," says Schultz. "I have had many losses and am trained to be a psychotherapist. I can write the stories and share the knowledge with the world. If one person reads this book and gets something from it, then I have fulfilled my role in the healing process."

"Giving Up the Ghost" provides readers with explanation and comfort of what comes beyond death, easing their fears and giving them hope. It also imparts to them one truth in this life - love never dies.
