WEBSTER, Texas - Silence became the vessel that allowed author Karen Chisholm to connect with the divine. In her 2014 poetry anthology, "I AM with You" (published by Xlibris), she reveals a collection of timelessly-inspiring poems gleaned from these moments of peace and quiet.

"God speaks to me in my quiet time with Him in the morning and I write down what he says," Chisholm on how this spiritual project came into being. "He often speaks in rhyme and I write what I understand He is saying."

Within the pages of "I AM with You," God speaks with enlightening passages about life, faith and inner strength. The poems tackle various subjects that seek to inspire the reader to believe in the goodness of God and what He is willing to sacrifice for his beloved children. The author also shares her own writings which, she muses, can be akin to whining - as talking about one's shortcomings she considers self-indulgent. The thoughts she shares are simple, albeit sometimes inconsistent, to relate to the readers' diverse calls and prayers.

Feeling blessed to be God's messenger, Chisholm hopes that her simple endeavor could help others step up in their spiritual journey and strengthen their inner armory in living blessed and fulfilled lives.
