An estimated 42 percent of marriages now end in divorce and retired Army Officer and author Joseph Tyler was blindsided when he discovered that his failing marriage would fall into this statistic.

Forced to rediscover his own happiness, Tyler proves it's never too late to fall in love in his new book, "A Broken Man: The Rocky Shoals of Marriage, Remarriage and Divorce." Tyler details the story of realizing that his then wife had fallen out of love with him and filed for divorce, and walks readers through marriage, divorce and common problems that may be encountered, as well as the process of dating and remarrying.

"It is necessary to maintain a positive mental attitude so you can come through all of the anguish and pain a better person," said Tyler. "I was so blinded by love, like many are, so it is important to understand the true meaning of a loving relationship."

Tyler emphasizes the importance of having a positive mental attitude and encourages readers to come to terms with their failed relationships and be persistent in their search for true happiness.

"If I can help prevent one person from going through the pain and anguish which I have gone through, then I will feel that I have achieved what I have set out to do," said Tyler.
